The first purchase agreements cover 26 tractor units with fuel cell drives. While previous vehicles in the Hylane fleet are refueled at a pressure of 350 bar, IVECO relies on a refueling pressure of 700 bar. This allows Hylane tenants to gain experience with both systems.

Christian Sulser, Director of Sales and Marketing at Iveco Magirus AG, says: “We are pleased to have hylane, our first partner in Germany, who not only trusts our expertise in fuel cell technology, but also our workshop expertise in the field of fuel cell vehicles.

Funded by BMDV

All purchased vehicles were financed by the Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV) under the directive on the financing of light and heavy commercial vehicles with alternative, climate-friendly drives and associated refueling and charging infrastructure (KsNI). The financing guidelines are coordinated by NOW GmbH and applications are approved by the Federal Office for Goods Transport. Thanks to the use-based rental in the so-called In the “pay-per-use” model, hylane customers pay only for the kilometers actually driven. The funds from the subsidy will be entirely used to reduce the rental rates of the offered vehicles and thus ensure competitive prices.
